Brady the Beagle Says-April 2023
G’day my fellow Allamuchians,
My humans are out to dinner, and myself and Dexter (the cat) are left to our own devices.
After sniffing around the house to make sure everything was as it should be, and checking for any morsel of food I might have missed from my own dinner, I decided to sit down and write my column.
Everything is very quiet in the house now, except for the big grandfather clock striking and chiming , and striking and chiming…. I must admit, when I first came to live with my humans, I was afraid of everything in the house…of all the new sounds I’d never heard before, and all the new and different things to look at…the most intimidating thing was that darn clock!!!
It scared the heck out of me!!! Every 15 minutes… ding, ding, ding, ding, etc, and then on the hour, clang, clang, clang…it would send me running under the bed every time !!
Now that I am used to the clock and all other the sights and sounds in the house, I can relax and get to work!!
The only thing going on is Dexter bathing himself… lick, lick, lick……
But getting back to my article, while I’m sitting here it has begun to snow, again!
I love the snow, to run around in it, to play and roll in it, and yes, even try to eat some… it tastes just like water to me, but most of all I love to bury my head in it.. wooof… wooof… wooof….
And speaking of snow, I would like all of my friends to ask their humans to pick up your poop!!! …. It is a big temptation to just leave it in the snow and push a little more snow on top of it to “bury” it, but eventually, the snow melts, and what is left is a mess!!!
For whatever the reason, dog poop doesn’t deteriorate… it stays right where it is !!!
And the bad thing is, it can make us sick!!! Just by sniffing it we can inhale all kinds of bad stuff!!
So please , please, ask your humans to pick up after you… it’s not only the right thing to do, it is the law !!! RUFFFF…!!!
And now for some Dog Park news… wooof…wooof…wooof.. aroooooooo…!!!
We are now up to 125 members as of this writing !!! Our highest number ever!!!
Not even the snow and cold has deterred some of out die-hard members bundle up and brave the elements to bring their furry friends down to exercise and socialize !!!! It’s a good thing the Dog Park is open year round!!!
I just want everyone to know that my humans are doing everything possible to fix any issues we might have!!! And we want to apologize to anyone who may have gotten in locked in in the process!!!
Ciao for now,
Brady the Beagle
